All Things ALL-IN:

National Volunteer month brings with it recognition of our ALL-IN team of volunteers and donors! ALL-IN founder Tanya Kosta accepted with the caveat, “These awards belong to the community.”

Holy moly! Two awards in one day. ALL possible because of your hard work and kind contributions.

The United Way of Monterey County honored ALL-IN with its Hall of Champions 2021 Live United Award for Outstanding Community Service.

KCBA and the Monterey Credit Union recognized ALL-IN with their “High Five” Community Service Excellence Award. (It also involves a little airtime, which we hope will help with much needed fundraising. Much appreciation to ALL-IN admin Cynthia Garcia McGowan for the nomination!)

Acknowledging these honors, one year and one week after the creation of ALL-IN, Tanya says, “We are humbled and proud that ALL-IN has received this recognition: We are a group of neighbors sharing kindness with neighbors in a direct and immediate way. Every single person who has been part of ALL-IN as we adapted to meet a series of changing needs over the last year has helped raise us to where we are today.

I was especially happy to have three supporters that provide the infrastructure for our ALL-IN circle of giving today: Melissa Kendrick, executive director of the Food Bank for Monterey County, Karen Blackwell-Harrison, owner of English Ales Brewery & Pub and PK Diffenbaugh, superintendent of Monterey Peninsula Unified School District.”

The “Big 3” as we call them, give us the rubber to meet the road. Our many ALL-IN friends are the spokes that keep the wheel strong and able to roll down that road to share more kindness …

Thank you for being ALL-IN!

-Chris
